The Android Sensor Box will detect all the sensors on an Android device and quickly show how they work based on the graphic board. It also shows you which hardware-assisted sensors and provides utility sensors that can be used in everyday life.
Sensors include:
Gyroscope Sensor
Gyroscope sensor is capable of measuring 6 directions at the same time. You can see the effect immediately by turning the phone gently. Now, the Gyroscope sensor is mainly used in 3D game development and may be an indoor navigation in the future.
Light Sensor
Light sensor is applied to detect the light density of the environment, then adjust the brightness of the screen and decide whether or not to turn off the keyboard light. Check the effect by placing the phone in the dark and then taking it out again.
Orientation Sensor
Orientation sensor is applied to detect the orientation of the device. For example, automatically rotate the screen when you rotate the phone horizontally. It can also be used to measure equipment like the Spirit Level.
Proximity Sensor
Proximity sensors help measure the distance between two objects, usually the device screen and the user's hand or face, . Check the effect by moving your hand to the front and back of the device in Android Sensor Box.
Temperature Sensor
Temperature sensor provides information about the temperature of the device. From there, users can take action when the temperature is too high or too low.
Accelerometer Sensor
Accelerometer sensor is used to detect the direction of the device, such as automatically rotating the screen when rotating the device vertically. This sensor is often used in game development.
SoundSound detects the intensity of sounds around you and provides detailed information about changes in pitch.
Magnetic Field
Magnetic Field is used in many fields, such as metal detectors and compasses, to bring many useful uses for life.
Pressure
Pressure is used to detect environmental pressure, then use this information to predict weather and temperature.
Android Sensor Box only detects changes. It may not display the exact temperature, proximity, light and pressure values when no changes occur.
For better performance, the sensors should be used together. Check out these explanations right inside the app.
