If you want to improve this problem, you should choose WinExt Desktop Bar 1.2.0.1 (WDB), which does not take up too much screen space but the toolbar that WDB enhances on the desktop is very useful for you. WDB is considered the "elder" of the Start bar because of the features that it offers many times superior.

After installing and activating WDB, there will immediately appear a small horizontal toolbar above the desktop and contain some commonly used programs, this toolbar also integrates command menus in the left order. to the right as follows:

- URLs : Quick access to your favorite sites bookmarked in Internet Explorer.

- Notes : Create reminders notes.

You click and select add notes on the window that appears, in the Title you set the title to note, Category you set the category for it and type the content of the note in the Note frame, then click OK .

- Programs : List of folders containing shortcuts of all programs installed on the computer that are on the Start menu. This menu is extremely useful if you are using Windows 7, because it is similar to the classic Start menu used to be found in Windows XP / Vista (no longer present in Windows 7).

- MyDoc : The content of My Documents folder is displayed as a tree.

- Desktop : Desktop content is displayed as a directory tree.

- My Computer : Browse the contents of all drives in My Computer as a directory tree. In addition, this toolbar also displays information about the RAM used (Memory), the time of the session from the time of booting into Windows (Uptime) in the upper right corner of the screen.

In addition, WDB also allows you to quickly open your favorite website, to select Main menu > Settings> General .

In the Settings window that appears, select the General tab, under the Position field, you can check the Bottom box (instead of Top) to move the toolbar from the top to the bottom of the screen (located on the Taskbar); It is recommended to keep the toolbar always above other programs' windows for easy exploitation by checking the Always on Top box .

To have the toolbar appear every time you start Windows, check the WinExt on Startup box .

On the Theme tab, if you want to change the appearance of the toolbar, click the Theme box and select the black WinExt interface type instead of the default one. In the Element section, the two components that make up the toolbar are Menubar (command menu bar) Infobar (information display bar); You can change the specific appearance for each component, or share a selected interface type in the Theme box above.

In the Item box and three options Color 1, Color 2, Font Color , you can also manually mix the colors for each small detail on the menu bar (with Color 1 as the background color, Color 2 is the frame color, Font Color is the color font).

For the remaining options in the Settings dialog box, you should keep the default. Configuration is complete, click Apply > OK to confirm changes.

Note: When you want to close the toolbar of WinExt, just click Main menu and select Close > WinExt .
