Android-Sync is a tool to synchronize data from Android devices to a personal computer. It syncs Outlook contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes with Android devices via a USB cable.

This program will allow users to keep contact information and calendar synchronized with their mobile device and Outlook account.

Before syncing, to be sure, you should create an Outlook backup.

Step 1: Turn on the Android device (USB debugging)

Note: Before connecting the Android device to the computer, you should enable the USB debugging option. On devices with Android 4.2 and higher installed, the Developer option is the default to hide. To display this option, go to Settings => About phone and type Build number 7 times. Then you return to the previous screen to find Developer options.

Install Android USB driver on the computer.

Right-click on the Computer icon on the Windows start menu, select Manage . In the Computer Management window, select Device Manager in the left management panel. Search for Android ADB device in the right panel.

Step 2: Connect the Android device to the Android sync manager on the computer

After connecting your mobile device to the computer, Android-Sync 's connection manager will help you install the correct USB driver for your device. Android-Sync will then be automatically installed on the user's phone.

Click the OK button on the mobile device to allow connection with the computer. Users are required to perform this operation if using Android 4.2.2 or higher.

If the Android-Sync notification icon shows a connection from an Android device to the established sync manager, you can move on to the next step.

Step 3: Customize Android sync manager settings

First, select the Outlook profile you want to sync from a drop-down list in the General tab.

After selecting Profile, select synchronous mode:

  • Synchronize : Two-way sync mode. All changes will be copied between the Android device and the user's Outlook account.
  • Desktop overwrites handheld : Data on mobile devices will be overwritten, replaced or deleted with information from Outlook after the sync process.
  • Handheld overwrites desktop : Information in Outlook will be replaced or deleted with mobile information after syncing.

To prevent unintentional deletion, you can deactivate the Sync deletion option.

For entries that need to be deleted, you can mark pending delete . If you intend to delete a contact, you must delete this information in both Microsoft Outlook and Android.

To improve sync speed, you can set the date to asynchronous old events.

Step 4: Perform the sync operation

Click the Sync button if you are ready to sync.

The program window will close automatically when the process is completed. A short report will then display the synchronized number of contacts, appointments, tasks, and notes.
