For example, you can download a simple Bitmap (bmp) blur image with a blue font. You want to remove that blue font on the watermark to make it transparent. It's easy, just click on "Make Transparent" and the dialog box will appear.

2.4. Opacity and glass watermark ruler

The watermark will be resized corresponding to the source image, for example, if the source image is 3000x2000 pixels and the watermark should be 10%, the size of that watermark in the source image will be 300x200 pixels.

Opaque map determines when source image is illuminated through watermark. High opacity means that the watermark allows for less light source images and lower opacity.

4. The results

Picture 11 of Arclab Watermark Studio

The trial version (demo) will add additional watermark to the resulting image. This additional watermark will not be included in the licensed (unlocked) version.

Please specify the resulting options (folder, format, size) and click on "Start" to start image processing.

4.1. Results directory

Click "." to specify the resulting folder for watermarked images or click "Replace source images and make a backup of the original files" to backup and overwrite source files.

This mode is useful when you want to process images from different locations or you want to handle folders with subfolders. The image to be backed up is a copy of the original image (in the same folder) with the .bak extension. If the backup file already exists or the program cannot create a backup file, that image will be ignored.

Important :

Note that there is no undo function so you should make a copy of the folders / images first.

.Bak images are not deleted by the program.

Check the "Rename Images" option if you want to rename the images. The file prefix (eg IMG) will be followed by a 5-digit image number. The extension will be created automatically based on the selected format.

4.2. Picture format

Please select the format and image quality.

Support program:

  • JPEG Image Format (* .jpg).
  • Portable Network Graphics (* .png).
  • Windows Bitmap (* .bmp).
  • Tagged Image File Format (* .tif).
  • Graphics Interchange Format (* .gif) (256 colors).

If you choose JPEG format (the default format) then you can specify quality. The default quality is 80%, which will produce good quality results. The higher the JPEG quality, the larger the file size.

4.3. Result size

Select the resulting size (image size) in pixels or check the "Keep original size" option.

If you choose to resize the image, the program will resize all the images according to the selected width and height, but it will always keep the aspect ratio, for example, 4: 3 images will not be changed to 5: 4 or 16: 9.

The program supports different resizing algorithms:

  • Box (fast, simple).
  • Bi-Cubic (advanced, beautiful results).
  • Bi-Linear (beautiful results) (default setting).
  • Bi-Spline (perfect results).
