How to edit BeamIt user settings:

BeamIt allows users to change their avatar, display name and password at any time. You can also link multiple Email addresses to your BeamIt account.

• Access to Home mode.
• Press the profile button or setup button.
• Make your own changes and click Done to save the changes.

How to change the password:

There are 2 ways to change the BeamIt service password. If you are logged into the BeamIt service and follow a group:

• Access to Home mode.
• Press the profile button or setup button.
• Click to change the password and follow the instructions on the screen.
• Click Done to save the changes.

If not logged into BeamIt:

• Click the login button and then select the current user.
• Enter the Email address associated with your personal BeamIt account and click the forgot password button.
• Check your personal mailbox for the password recovery link.

BeamIt chat group:

BeamIt for iOS allows users to share as private 1: 1 or in groups. You can post messages, exchange photos and respond by marking Like or commenting on photos. You can also name a group, add new members to an existing group, or share with multiple groups at the same time.

How to create a new group:

• Click the edit button above the main screen.
• Invite friends and family members to join the group by entering their BeamIt name, Email address or Facebook name. You can also invite existing groups to a new group.
• Click Next and select the group name, image to represent the group.
• Click Done to share content.

You can also invite more members to an existing group at any time:

• Access groups available.
• To invite new members: on iPad - click the group and invite; on iPhone: press the corresponding dots and invite members.
• Search and choose BeamIt's name, Email address or Facebook name of the friends you want to invite.
• Click Done.

Change the name or photo of an existing group:

• Access to groups available.
• To change a group name or picture: on iPad - press the group option; on iPhone - tap the appropriate dots and select groups.
• Enter a new name for the group or add a photo.
• Click Done to finish.

How to create a new message:

• Click the edit button.
• Find and select BeamIt's name, Email address or Facebook name of your friends or family members you want to send the message to.
• Add a message and any photo.
• Hit the submit button.

How to Like and comment on photos or messages:

• Long press on your favorite photo or message.
• Click Like to favorite your photo or message, click Comment to comment.

How to share photos:

You can share one or more photos from the Camera Roll device:

• Visit the homepage and press the edit button.
• Click on the camera.
• Take a new photo using the built-in camera in BeamIt or select one or more photos in the system multimedia library with touch.
• Click Done to select photos.
• Find and choose BeamIt's name, Email address or Facebook name of your friends or family members you want to send photos to.
• Add a message (optional) and press send.

To reshare photos from a group:

• On the iPad press the photo sharing icon; on the iPhone press the dot icon and choose a photo.
• Select the photos you want to share.
• Click the share button and select the individuals or groups you want to send the picture to.
• Add a message (optional) and press send.

You can share privately with anyone who is selected, even if friends do not use the BeamIt for iOS service. They can see what you share via the link to their own website. All you need to do is enter their email address and invite members to your group.

How to delete sent photos or comments:

Users can only remove photos and messages shared individually in a group, can not remove photos shared by others.

• Press and hold on the photo or message you want to remove.
• Click the Delete button.

How to leave a group:

• On the iPad, click the delete group icon; on the iPhone press the dot icon and leave the group.
• Scroll down and press the Leave Group button to leave the group.

Who can see your photos?

Only members in the group you join can view the photos and messages shared in that group. Note that the BeamIt groups work similarly in the Email service. That is, a member of the group you can choose to save the image on their device or share it with another group.

Photo display mode when logging in with your Facebook account:

When logging into BeamIt with your Facebook account, your photos will not be publicly visible. Connecting with Facebook makes it easy to log in without entering your personal email address. The BeamIt service does not post your photos, messages, likes, comments, groups . to Facebook.

Turn on location services to share photos:

BeamIt uses the advanced image selection feature provided by iPad and iPhone. On iOS 7, your device requires all apps that use this feature to access the location service to display and upload photos from Camera Roll because the photos contain location information.

If you want to enable location services for the BeamIt application:

• Exit the application and access the system settings.
• Click on privacy and select location service.
• Select BeamIt and turn on this function.
• Restart BeamIt to use.

Error of not seeing photos from Camera Roll in BeamIt:

Because your photos contain personal information, Apple requires the entire iOS app to use user rights to display or upload photos from Camera Roll.

To display photos, you need to allow BeamIt to access photos from the Camera Roll device.

• Exit the application and access the system settings.
• Click on the privacy category and select the photo application.
• Find BeamIt and turn it on.
• Restart BeamIt to use.

Error of unable to access contacts saved on the device:

Apple requires BeamIt to gain access from users to the contacts stored on the device. So BeamIt can display your contact list.

Error of failing to find group in BeamIt:

Many users who encounter the error are invited to by a BeamIt team via Email but cannot find this group on BeamIt. This situation occurs when the email address you are invited to do not coincide with the email address you registered with your account on BeamIt.

If you log in with your Facebook social network, your BeamIt account will use the Email address associated with Facebook. To find the email address associated with your personal BeamIt account, please visit the main screen and click on the profile to view the settings. Press the profile button or setting button. You can then link the secondary Email addresses to your BeamIt account, matching the Email addresses you have been invited to in that group.

Error unable to connect via Facebook:

If you have problems connecting via Facebook, please completely exit and restart the BeamIt application.
