BitMeter OS for Linux (64 bit) - Control bandwidth
BitMeter OS is a free, open source bandwidth control tool that works on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX operating systems. It has an Internet / Network connection usage monitoring function and allows you to view information via a web browser or use a command line tool.
The Web interface of BitMeter OS displays various forms of tables to show you your Internet / Network usage over time.
The Monitor panel will display an updated chart every few seconds to let you know what is happening with your connection in real time:
The Query table provides detailed information about bandwidth usage by the date you specify, and allows you to export the results to a spreadsheet.
The History table illustrates changes in connection usage over a few hours, days and months
BitMeter OS also allows you to set Alerts to alert you when Internet usage exceeds a defined limit.
The Calculator utility tells you how much time it will take to upload or download files, or how much data you can transfer over a specified period of time.
The Preferences panel allows you to customize the interface to your liking, including integrated RSS data.
