How BoxCryptor works

BoxCryptor will create a virtual drive on your computer that allows you to encrypt all files on your computer before uploading them to the cloud of your choice. It also encrypts individual files and creates no drive for storage. Any files contained in the folder on the BoxCryptor drive will be automatically encrypted before being synchronized to the cloud.

To protect your files, BoxCryptor will use AES-256 and RSA encryption algorithms. As a result, encrypting personal files will be safe and secure, especially when you are storing important corporate business data or personal information.
