Instructions for using Citymaps on iPhone / iPad

Learn about Citymaps map:

Maps is where you save and organize the places you care about. You can build maps for anything - from restaurants, hotels, attractions to places you dream of coming to without a chance. Can be understood simply, the concept of "map" (map) on Citymaps for iOS is an archive of travel information of individual users.

On Citymaps there are currently millions of user maps with about 40,000 locations mentioned. You can visit each of these maps to find out information, see travel suggestions . or click the Follow button to not miss any new updates. Besides individual maps, there is also a standardized map of well-known organizations. Choose depending on your actual needs!

How to create a new map:

• Click the Profile button and select Create a New Map .
• Enter a custom map name, download an avatar and add a description.
• Click Create to create.
• Click Who Can Add Places to create collaborative maps with friends on Citymaps.

Add location to map:

• From the main map, touch the place you care about.
• Click the "+" button to save the location.
• To save this place, add it to the personal map.
• Save the location to an existing map or create a new one.
• Write a review or click Post to share now.

Create a map with friends:

• Touch the name of the map.
• Click Edit .
• Click Who Can Add Places.
• Find friends or type a name in the search bar.
• Select some friends and click Done .
• Click Save to send the invitation to make a map to your friends.
• After they accepted the invitation, everyone was ready for building a common map.

Create a private map:

• When creating a map, switch to Secret mode to create a private map.
• If you want to make it public, from the Edit page, switch to Public mode. Note that you cannot switch back to the Secret state.

Note: only you and the person invited to create a map will see the private map. Private maps do not appear on Activity Stream , search results or anywhere on Citymaps.

Edit or delete a map:

• From the personal profile, find the map you want to edit.
• Open the map and press Edit .
• Make any changes like rename, description, cover photo .
• Click Save Changes to save changes.
• Use the Delete Map button if you want to delete the map completely.
• When deleting a map, all locations in it are deleted and cannot be restored.

Share the map on social networks:

• Click on the Personal Profile and select the map to share.
• Choose the sharing method and click Share .Currently Citymaps for iOS supports sharing maps via Facebook, Twitter, GroupMe, Pinterest, sending via SMS, Email .
• You can also get embed codes, copy links or send them as PDF files.

Follow the map:

• Click the Explore icon to find a prominent map in the area you are in or any location.
• Or on the main map, find the keyword you are interested in and press Maps to see search results.

Create a new account on Citymaps:

• Click the green Create Your Account button.
• Click Sign up with Facebook or Sign up with Email .
• Enter your Email address and click Next . Fill in the required fields such as full name, username, password and select Creat Account.
• Select Use My Location or Not Now.It is best to use the location service with CityMaps for the best experience.
