Install HCF Generic Modem on Win98SE

1. Extract the modem driver file :

After downloading the HCF driver for Win 98SE, extract the driver from the HCFp_Win9x.zip file.

2. Uninstall the current modem driver :

- Double click My Computer .

- Double click on Control Panel

- Double click Add / Remove Programs

- Select the modem driver you want to delete and then click Add / Remove

- Click OK to close Add / Remove Programs.

3. Install the correct modem driver :

- Restart the computer and wait for Windows to start running. The " Add new hardware wizard " window will then indicate that a new PCI communication device has been received.

- Select " Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) " and click Next

- Select " Specify a location ", enter " C: HCF Modem " and click Next .

- Make sure the device name is " Generic PCI Modem Enumerator " and click Next

- Click Finish when the installation process is complete.
