Download and extract, you access the extracted directory and then run the file crypTN.exe to launch the program. The crypTN interface is quite simple with a menu bar and functional toolbar arranged above, covering below the text area for you to enter and display the content inside. When saving a document, the program provides you with 2 save modes: Save as encrypted (save as encrypted ) and Save as non-encrypted (save as regular text). In this case, we will choose Save as encrypted > click the black floppy disk icon on the toolbar or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S , enter the name of the file in the File name section, to know if the file must be saved whether it is in encrypted format ( Encrypted textfiles) or not, look at the Save as type section and click the Save button. In the final step, enter the password protection for the file in the (Enter Key) dialog box that appears> press Enter to finish. Because the text file is saved in txt format, it can be opened normally with Windows Notepad on your computer or Notepad ++, . but the content has been encoded into meaningless character strings, so anyone can open it. nor understand the content inside.

Like the backup process, to unlock the documents you have 2 ways to do it: Open encrypt (open encrypted text file from the program) and Open non-encrypt (open normal text file) . You click the Open icon or Ctrl + O to decode the file content, when a dialog box asking for a password you fill in the blank box> press Enter . To create a new encrypted file, go to File > New (Ctrl + N) . Later, if you do not use the program to encrypt, you can still use crypTN to edit common text like on Windows Notepad.
