Instructions for using Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android

Download Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android and install it on your computer. Then follow the step-by-step instructions below to recover lost contacts, messages, photos and videos from an Android device.

Step 1: Connect the device to the computer

After launching Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android, the main window will appear. Please connect your Android device to the computer via USB.

Note : You should only connect one device at a time, and make sure that your Android phone supports Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android.

Step 2: Enable USB debugging

Now, you need to enable USB debugging on your device. Follow the detailed instructions in the window to set up.

For Android 2.3 and below: Go to " Settings " -> Click " Applications " -> Click " Development " -> Select " USB debugging ".

For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Go to " Settings " -> Click " Developer options " -> Select " USB debugging ".

For Android 4.2 and above: Go to " Settings " -> Click " About Phone " -> Tap " Build number " several times until notice " You are under developer mode " -> Go back to " Settings " -> Click " Developer options " -> Select " USB debugging ".

Note : If you have enabled USB debugging on your device before, you can skip this step.

Step 3: Start analyzing data on the device

After setting up USB debugging, the program will start connecting your device. Click " Start " to analyze the data on the device.

Note : Before starting, make sure that your battery is not less than 20% to ensure a comprehensive scan.

After the device is recognized, you need to allow the program to use the user right on your device screen. Just click " Allow " when a notification message appears on the device screen.

Note : If the program does not scan anything for a long time after you click " Allow " on the phone, please check the phone again. Some devices only display the " Allow " button a few times. Just click on it until it does not appear again or the program starts the scan.

Step 4: Ready to scan data on the device

Your device has now been successfully detected. Click " Start " to perform the scan. Do not disconnect the device while scanning, otherwise the scan will fail.

Step 5: Preview and restore

The scanning process will take some time. You can then preview all recoverable data found in the scan results. In fact, existing messages, contacts, pictures and videos are also displayed in the results. Deleted SMS and contacts are displayed in red. You can distinguish them by color.

After previewing, highlight the ones you want and click " Recover " to store them on your computer. You can store contacts in CSV, vCard or HTML format and messages in CSV or HTML format.
