Part 1: How to rip and convert DVD on Mac:

Step 1: Download the DVD file

Insert the DVD into the DVD drive, then press the " Load DVD " button. Next, the program will add the DVD to the list and list all titles. The user will double click on one of the listed titles and preview the movie in the Preview window on the right hand side. See the image below for a better understanding.

Note: Normally, a DVD disc usually contains many titles, so by default the program will select the longest title or main movie. In addition, the program also supports DVD disc compression without converting unnecessary titles.

Step 2: Select subtitles (Optional)

If you do not want to compress the DVD with subtitles, please skip this step.

To select the subtitles you want, simply press the Subtitles button and select your favorite file. You can also select the desired audio track from the Audio drop-down list.

Step 3: Select output video / audio format

Click the Profile button at the bottom where the DVD file is displayed and select the desired format from the drop-down list. Under Profile is Output , where you can browse your computer to find a better target directory to save the converted movie. As you can see, all video and audio formats, including: MP4, MOV, MKV, WMV, AVI, FLV, MP3, WMA, WAV, M4A, etc. are also provided and supported.

Step 4: Start conversion

Once you have selected the output file format, start to rip the DVD. Simply press the Convert button to allow the program to make a DVD conversion. The ripping time will depend on the length of the output movie. Wait for a while until the process finishes and click the Open button to get the converted file.

Part 2: How to copy DVDs on a Mac

In addition to the ability to rip DVDs, EaseFab DVD Ripper for Mac also provides users the ability to back up their favorite DVD movies individually. There are two copy modes available: Title Mode (copy the selected movie title) and Full Disc Mode (copy the entire contents of the disc).
