Operation process of everDOCs for iOS:

everDOCs for iOS is installed directly on your iPhone or iPad. Use the tool at home or browse on the go through the drive and folder on the computer and to open any document stored in it.

everDOCs Bridge is a "personal support" tool: this is a small program installed on Windows or Mac computers. The utility plays the document you want to read directly on iDevice and sends any file attached to an Email (optional compression) whenever and wherever you need to.

Both everDOCs Bridge and everDOCs for iOS are provided for free to view PDF documents remotely. Additional add-ons are available through in-app purchase options:

  • Text package: play and view all types of documents: PDF, Microsoft Office, iWork, text, images .

everDOCs Private Cloud includes 2 main components:

Configure personal cloud account

Open the "shared folder" tab and click "share folder" . Move any folder or category into a shared item. These folders will show up at the top of the main list in everDOCs for iOS on iDevice. Users can invite friends to view that shared folder. Each shared folder will display with an image using the blue "+" button.

Enable the "show all drives" checkbox if you want to remotely browse the entire drive on your personal computer from your iDevice. If you haven't enabled this feature, you can only view shared folders.

Activate the "show only text" checkbox to list text files that are allowed to be opened from the everDOCs for iOS app on iPhone or iPad and hide all other files.

Access the "setting" tab and change the name and password for the main user account. The username and password will be set to the default "administrator" .

Optionally change IP port in connection settings. It is recommended to use ports between 50000 and 65000, for example 55000-56000. The 'Enable NAT-PMP' and 'Enable UPnP' checkboxes must be enabled: in this way, your personal Private Cloud account will automatically customize your router. If your router doesn't support it, you must manually configure "Port Forwarding" . Read the user guide for the router to perform this procedure. (If using port forwarding, users do not need a sequence of ports but only a single port: for example 55000-55000).

When the "use SSL encryption" option is enabled , the connection between your computer and your iPhone or iPad will be securely encrypted to improve security. Users need an add-on in the iOS app to use it.

If you want to send a text via email or email to a friend to invite them to view the shared folder, access the setup tab and fill out the fields that are blank. The footer content will be attached to every email you write.

Press "start" to start instant document presentation.

Install the everDOCs for iOS app from the App Store and access Bridge ID from everDOCs Bridge in the connection window. Access with username and password of main user.

Start remote browsing and viewing documents, share documents via email as attachments and selectively share with your everDOCs Private Cloud account.

Browse files and folders, view documents anytime, anywhere

After successful login, you can browse shared folders, drives, subfolders and subfolders as well as entire files.

Click on a text file (iWork, MS Office format, text, PDF .) to open and read them.

  • Free application only supports PDF files. To see other types of text, please purchase the "text package" add-on in the navigation bar at the top.
  • If you do not see any drive to browse, you must enable "show all drives" in the "shared folder" tab of the everDOCs Bridge installer.

Share files remotely via Email

Allow everDOCs to send arbitrary files to the Email address whenever you need it. Email messages are written on your mobile device, but the email itself includes an attachment (can be compressed) that will be sent using everDOCs Bridge (personal cloud service) software directly. from a PC / Mac computer to use at least data traffic. Use this feature to use text in other applications or to send files to anyone or any device.

Please check your Email settings to make sure everything is correct: the content appears in the setup card of the everDOCs Bridge installer on your computer. This setup will send email directly and not use other Email Clients.

Use in the everDOCs for iOS navigation bar when you are reading a document or on the toolbar when browsing a folder / directory to send one or more selected files as an attachment. personal computer.

Share folders with friends

Shared folder:

As an administrator of the everDOCs Private Cloud account, users can view their entire folders and personal files. However, in fact, some directories will be used more than others. They are more accessible or even more shared with everyone. These folders or directories are called "shared folders".

Shared Folders are listed on the first page of everDOCs, before the drives are. They are also instantly recognized by custom icons.

Create shared folders and send invitations:

There are 2 methods to create shared folders:

  • In everDOCs Bridge on the computer: used to select folders and categories. Users can change the name of the folder or specify a custom image with the button attached.
  • In the everDOCs for iOS app on iDevice: touch the Invite icon to write an invitation email for a specific folder on one of the multiple drives. This folder will automatically change to a shared folder.

Assign users to shared folder:

Besides being listed first in everDOCs, shared folders also have an important feature: shared folders that specify users with specific permissions. Every time you invite a friend to the shared folder, they automatically become a user of this folder. Use user cards in everDOCs Bridge to manage these users, assign them to specific shared folders and access rights.

The shared folder tag allows the user to manage each shared folder and the specified user attached. New users can be invited directly from here.

Invitations from the iOS app and from everDOCs Bridge only work if the Email setup is set up correctly: look in the settings tab of the EverDOCs Bridge settings section on your computer. They will send email directly and do not use any other email clients.

Accept an invitation:

When you invite someone to share a folder with yourself, he / she will receive this invitation via a personal email. To open a folder, the everDOCs for iOS application must be installed on his or her iDevice device.

Open the folder that person is invited in 2 steps only:

  • Copy Bridge ID from the invitation email to the clip board (or you can copy the entire Email content to the clip board).
  • Start everDOCs for iOS, paste the contents of the clip board into the Bridge ID field and press connect.
