How to use the Adblock Browser on iPhone / iPad

Add page filter list:

Eyeo Adblock Browser requires filtering of pages to block ads. The default page filter list will be created according to the user's browser language setting , automatically enabled right after installing Eyeo Adblock Browser.

There are two basic filtering lists, EasyList and Fanboy's List . These 2 web filter lists will block ads from most popular websites (usually in English language). However, this filter list does not block ads from domestic and less popular sites. So if you live in Germany, you should sign up for a filtered list of German pages.

Note: users should not add too many filter lists to the Eyeo Adblock Browser otherwise it will reduce ad blocking speed as well as page loading speed.

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• Under privacy and security, select Adblock Plus.
• Under Blocking , select Ad Blocking.
• Select the filter list you want to subscribe to under the other language section.

Remove site filter list:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• Under privacy and security, select Adblock Plus.
• Under Blocking , select Ad Blocking.
• Select the filter list you want to remove under Active For Websites In .

Ad setup accepted:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• Select Ad Blocking.
• Under Exceptions , select Acceptable Ads.
• Uncheck the box labeled Allow .

Turn off detection, malicious domains, social networking buttons and anti-ad blocking messages:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• Under privacy and security, select Adblock Plus.
• Under Blocking , select More Blocking Options.
• Select one or more options: Tracking - disable user data and web browser, Malware Domains - block domains that are at risk of spreading malware such as viruses, Trojans, Worms and spyware, Social Media Buttons - blocks buttons used to create profiles according to browsing habits, Anti-Ad Blocking Messages - blocks script against ads.

Change the default search engine:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• In the Search section, select Search Engine.
• Choose a new default search engine.

How to turn off search suggestions:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• In the search section, turn off the URL Search Suggestions button .

View pages in the whitelist list:

• Open the Adblock Browser.
• Touch the Adblock Browser icon in the menu bar below the screen and select Settings .
• In the privacy and security section, select Adblock Plus.
• In the Exceptions section, click the Whitelisted Websites option to see sites that are not blocked.
