1. Backup data

How to use EZ is not too complicated. In the welcome dialog that appears when starting EZ, click Next .

- In the Select Programs dialog box that appears shortly, select the applications you want to back up. Finished you press OK .

If the backup list contains images, music, office applications, graphics or accounting, in the next step you need to filter out the file formats to backup for each corresponding object from the right pane. With the rest of the applications, EZ knows what important components to back up. The Add / Remove Programs button is used to add or remove applications from the backup list. - In the Backup Destination window, EZ offers 3 options for you to find the location of the backup file for all the applications selected above:

+ Backup to a local or network driver : save the file to a hard disk, a USB drive or a network drive. You click Browse and find the folder you want.

+ Burn transfer file to a CD or DVD disc : burn the file directly to a CD / DVD disc, requiring that you have a burner in order to use it.

+ Backup to an FTP server : upload the file to an FTP server.

By default, all backup data is packaged into a single file of the form EZBackupArchive.exe. If you want to customize the change of the file name according to the time of the backup, you tick Append Date to Backup File Name . Finished you click Next .

- In the Options and Settings window, check the Schedule Backup box using Windows Task Manager under the Backup Schedule field to schedule automatic data backup for EZ at the specified time every day, a certain day on a weekly basis or on the first day of each month.

Check the Enable Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) box under the Shadow Copy (VSS) field so that EZ can back up files that are locked or being used by another program, but only valid for the drive. disk in NTFS format.

If you want to encrypt the backup file with a password, check the Encrypt Backup Archive box under the Backup Encryption field, then enter the password in the two Passphrase and Re-type Passphrase boxes. - In case the above list of backup applications includes objects that require you to select the file format, the next window will provide two additional options:

+ Backup all the files : back up files on all drives

Finally click Finish to complete or click Restart to return to the welcome EZ dialog box.

2. Data recovery

How to recover backed up data for applications is very simple, double-click on the EZBackupArchive.exe file, enter the decryption password (if required) and then click OK . In the window that appears, click Next . The next Transfer Destination window will have 2 options:

+ Auto-Detect Destination (Recommended!) : Automatically detects data recovery bows

+ Specity Dextination Folder: you specify the recovery folder by yourself.
