File Secure Free is comprehensive and free software to help you protect your important documents. It includes 4 powerful main functions: file encryption with the ability to lock files and folders with a password via AES encryption algorithm; lock USB flash drives and any other mobile devices; file cancellation tool that can permanently delete unnecessary files; and back up the file at any time.

File Secure Free is completely free, but its functionality may be equivalent or even better than the paid software. Therefore, you can safely use this program to protect important data in the most effective way.

Function:

Protect files and folders with a password

• File Secure Free uses military standard AES encryption algorithms to lock your files and folders so no one can access them.
• It is possible to encrypt any file format whether they are documents, pictures, temporary files, programs or databases.
• Both folders and files can be password protected.
• Encrypt and decrypt files and folders with just a few simple clicks.

Protect the USB drive with a password

• Lock the USB flash drive with a password that nobody can crack.
• Ensure absolute safety for your data in a USB drive.
• Just plug in the USB and set your own password, then no one can access it without the password.
• File destruction tool to permanently delete important data
• Many of the files you delete may still exist somewhere in the system because they are not physically deleted, so you need this file destruction tool to permanently delete all unnecessary files.
• Use military-class destruction algorithms to completely erase deleted data and leave no trace.

File backup to protect data

• Back up your personal data to a safe location by creating data copy files (including DFI file extensions).
• Create a backup image and restore data from that image file.

Back up important files

For individual files, click ' Add Files ' and then click ' backup ' to start the backup. With multiple files, you can create folders and put all those files in and then click ' Add Folder' to backup.

If you want to recover files, browse for the backup image file and set the destination path, then click the ' recover ' button to proceed with the recovery.

Encrypt important file

For an individual file, click ' Add Files ' to select your file, then enter the password to encrypt it. For a folder, click ' Add Folder ' to select the folder, then enter the password to encrypt it. You can decrypt that file and folder in the same way when you enter your password.

Discard unnecessary files

For the file you want to cancel, click on ' Add Files ' or ' Add Folder ' to select your file or folder, then click ' Shred ' to delete all files permanently and nobody can restore. The program supports 5 different techniques such as Gutmann algorithm, Erase and write random data, National Safety Association Standard, United States Military Standard and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Standard. You can select a technique from the drop down menu below.

Lock the USB drive and the external drive

To lock a USB drive or an external drive, simply plug in the drive, select the drive and click 'lock' to enter the lock password. To unlock the drive, you need to enter the correct password, then click ' unlock '.
