Firefox Namoroka

If you are satisfied with Firefox 3.6, you will be more surprised with Firefox Namoroka, a version of Firefox 3.6, but it has been upgraded with a faster browsing speed than its predecessor.

Namoroka is actually Firefox 3.6 but is redesigned based on SSE2 instruction set (a basic instruction set supported in most Intel and AMD CPUs). Therefore, it inherits both the hardware and software power, giving the speed of web browsing and graphics processing on the browser significantly increased.

First, download the Namoka version from the above address. Then, you run the exe file, click Extract to extract to any folder, you will get firefox-3.6-2010011916.en-US.win32-tete009-sse2-pgo folder containing the browser components. Next, to speed up the browser, extract the attached module file and copy the tbind.exe file in the extracted directory to the above directory, run the tbind.exe file. Done, you run the file firefox.exe in the browser directory to start using FF Namoroka.

A nice feature of Namoroka is to use all profiles (add-ons, bookmarks, settings, .) from Firefox 3.6, so you can use Namoroka with Firefox 3.6 add-ons. However, for downloaders like IDM, to be able to use them in Namoroka, you need to integrate them further by launching IDM: go to Downloads> Options> Add browser and select the path to the Namoroka executable file.

Few basic tests
To evaluate Namoroka's speed compared to Firefox 3.6, the author conducted Futuremark measurements on two websites: Peacekeeper (https://service.futuremark.com/peacekeeper) and SunSpider JavaScript Benchmark (http : //www2.webkit.org/perf/sunspider-0.9/sunspider.html), which helps to comprehensively test test operations on javascript, assets, graphics, etc.

The test results are quite impressive, with 3946 points for Firefox 3.6 and 4489 points for Namoroka, including three components: Rendering (conversion speed), Complex graphic (complex graphics) and Data ( data). With other results, Namoroka also far surpassed Firefox 3.6 in the remaining calculations.

Experiments show that Namoroka has the speed of starting and processing web pages faster than Firefox 3.6 from 20 - 30%, in particular, the boot time has been shortened from 4.9s (Firefox 3.6) to 3.6s (Namoroka ), and the speed of tab browsing is also improved with 31s for Firefox 3.6 and 18s for Namoroka.

Note: Namoroka can only maximize performance when your CPU supports SSE2 instruction set. To find out if your CPU supports this script, use the CPU-Z software downloaded here, run the program and see the Instructions section. For older CPU generations and don't support SSE2, you won't be able to use Namoroka.
