FVIK

FVIK ( F - Vietnamese Input Keyboard ) keyboard was created with an idea: simple, easy to use, no color, not beautiful but effective . The software allows Vietnamese typing in a new style for every Windows operating system.

FVIK not only integrates two VNI and Telex typing methods, full charset, shortcut typing, spell checking, FVIK 1.2.4 is also equipped with three pretty good features:

• AutoComplete: Automatically displays a list of suggested words, greatly speeding up the typing speed.
• Automatic source font recognition, making transcoding simpler and faster
• Configure separate typing and encoding for each application.

Before using FVIK, you need to close other running Vietnamese percussion to avoid 'conflicts' when inputting. When activated, the FVIK icon will appear in the system tray.

To configure FVIK features, simply click the icon in the system tray and select the required features. If you need a more detailed configuration, select the Advanced configuration section .

This is considered to be the most special Vietnamese typing version, the entire source has been redesigned to ensure the least memory - taking up less than 1MB of RAM.

The disadvantage of FVIK is that it requires Windows to install the .NET Framework 2.0.

Basic

Use AutoComplete

Introduction: This feature allows users to type faster as editors like VS2005 or used.

How to use:

• Turn on autocomplete mode
• If it is the first time you use it, you just need to type 1 phrase for example:
  • Type 'organize'.
  • Press DOWN ARROW KEY to select from organization.
  • Press tab or enter depending on your configuration.
  • The next time you see this word you just need to type: 'tc' + tab or enter it will show 'organization'; 'Tc' + tab or enter it will show 'Organization'; 'TC' + tab or enter it will show 'ORGANIZATION'
  • Assuming you define the word 'finance', then if you type 'tc' it will produce 2 words. However, it will choose for you the closest one you have chosen.
  • You can type 'to chuc' to get 'organized'

Use Spell Checker

Introduction: This feature allows you to perform a spell checking mode while typing. There are 2 levels of options: accurate and relative

How to use:

• For Correct mode: misspelled word is a word not in Vietnamese dictionary. For example: Dum, unload, .
• For Relative mode: misspelled words are words that cannot be read in Vietnamese. For example: banic, goong.
• Note: There is no need to double-tap in English words because the program will automatically turn into English as soon as there is a description error.

Use Font Style

Introduction: This feature allows you to select the font mode appropriate for the application you are typing.

How to use: Select the appropriate font style.

Use Typing Method

Introduction: This feature allows you to choose one of two input methods, telex and vni.

Usage: Choose the appropriate typing method.

Use Automatic font recognition

Introduction: This feature allows the program to automatically recognize what font you are using in the application (a bit limited).

Usage: turn on this feature.

Use the clipboard

Introduction: This feature allows you to choose how to remove accents with Clipboard (limited compatibility with 64 bit win, not recommended to use)

Advanced

There are 2 options for advanced usage. Include:

Virtual percussion

Introduction: A special feature of the program that allows you to type comfortably in different applications with different settings.

Using:

• Add a new virtual percussion:
• Select the '[New program]' section.
• Type any part of the window name you want to set up. For example: 'vnexpress'. May be empty. Or
• Select the application name to set up. For example: 'WINWORD'. You can press the [.] button to select an application.
• Edit application-specific options like menu usage. You can even turn off percussion in the selected application.
• Click the Save button
• Update a virtual percussion : you just select any item.

Note: The application name and the window name are combined with the 'and' operations so if you want all MS Word to use the same virtual keyboard, just leave the window name blank.

Options hidden

Introduction: Allows you to customize the program according to your needs.

How to use:

• Load data for AutoComplete: This item allows to turn on / off the dictionary loading process when starting the program.
• Load data for AutoComplete (abbreviated): This section allows to turn off the loading of abbreviations dictionary when starting the program.
• Using virtual percussion: This item allows to turn off the Virtual Percussion feature.
• Typing space clears cache: If you enable this feature of FVIK, it means that you only mark one word in the nearest word, you cannot go back many words.
• Check spelling only when you press the space or punctuation marks: If this feature is turned on, the spelling check only occurs when you press the space or punctuation, suitable for people familiar with double-typing in English.
• Note: Remember to press the Save button to confirm FVIK.
