How to sync a calendar with Google Calendar:

  • Install the free Google Calendar app on the App Store store.
  • Sign in with any Google account.You can add as many accounts as you want.
  • If you need help using Google Calendar, you can access the main menu and select Help & Feedback.
  • Open general settings on iPhone and iPad.
  • Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add account > Google .
  • Enter your full name, email address or Google Apps with a password.
  • If you use 2-step authentication, use the application password instead of the regular password.
  • Click Next .
  • Events in email, contacts and calendar will be synchronized directly to your Google account on the web.To synchronize the calendar separately, turn off other services.
  • Now, when you open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad, you'll see the entire Google Calendar event.

Sync specific calendars:

If you have set up more than one calendar type in Google Calendar on the web, you can choose the type of calendar to sync:

  • Visit www.google.com/calendar/syncselect.
  • Check the boxes for the calendars you want to sync.

How to create a new event:

Users can quickly create events from their smartphone or tablet to manage the day-to-day tasks. Alternatively, add a location to navigate directly from Google Calendar , or invite family and friends to the event.

  • Open the Google Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Click New Event .
  • Start typing a title for the event.You will see suggestions, select one or manually enter it.
  • Next are the options to quickly add event details.
  • Click '.' to add a location and get directions right in Google Calendar.
  • Press '.' to add one of the contacts you want to call or text directly from the event or notification.This operation does not send invitations to them.
  • Click Done on the keyboard.
  • You can now edit event details like dates and times.
  • Click Save .

Note: you can also create events by finding a blank period on the calendar. Just switch to the grid view, or the date view, then double-tap the free time.

View calendar day, week or month:

Daily, weekly or monthly calendar view will help you cover all upcoming events, find free time to arrange new jobs by jumping to any future date or switching views. .

How to access the specific day or month of the year:

  • Open the Google Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Touch the month name at the top of the screen, for example January (January).
  • Swipe left or right to view adjacent months.
  • Touch any day to see the event for that day.

Note: to help you keep track of your free or busy time, circled dates mean there is at least one event for that day. To return to today, touch the date icon at the top of the screen.

View job reminders from Inbox:

If you use Inbox by Gmail, reminders created in Inbox or Google Now and set with specific dates will be displayed in the Google Calendar version. They will have a prompt icon to help you identify the event easily.

When you open the reminder in Google Calendar, you'll see the option to mark the event complete at the bottom. If you need to change, you can edit the prompt in the Inbox by Gmail application.

Note: Repeat emails and reminders added to Repeat emails will not show on your personal calendar.

Share a calendar:

Google Calendar allows sharing calendars with family and friends.

  • Share calendars with relatives and friends for them to see your schedule.
  • Create a new calendar so that more people can access it, such as a climbing calendar so everyone in the climbing group can join.
  • When adding a person to the calendar, you can decide the right to view their event and the right to change the information in the event: add or edit the event.

In Google Calendar, you will have multiple calendars to add events to. Each calendar type will have its own sharing settings.
