Recover lost files

Hodo Data Recovery allows you to recover deleted files for any reason, including mistakenly pressing the 'Shift + Del' key, emptying the trash, virus infection or unknown reasons. The tool allows you to recover lost files from partitions or removable media.

Step 1: Start Hodo Data Recovery and select the Lost File Recovery module.

Step 2: Select the partition where you lost the file and click the Scan button.

Step 3: Wait during the scan, all lost files will be found in the scanned partition and displayed in the tree structure on the left.

Step 4: Preview the files you want to recover and then click Recover.

Note : A dialog box will appear after clicking the Recover button, allowing you to choose where to save the recovered files. Do not save files in the location where you lost them. Otherwise, the file will be overwritten.

Recover formatted files

The Formatted Recovery module allows you to retrieve data from formatted partitions or removable media, such as external hard drives, MP3 players, USB Flash drives.

Step 1: Start Hodo Data Recovery and select the Formatted Recovery module.

Step 2: Select the partition you want to recover files and then click Scan.

Step 3: Select the file system of the selected partition, then click OK.

Step 4: Wait during the scan, all the lost files will be found in the scanned partition and displayed in the tree structure on the left.

Step 5: Preview the files you want to recover and then click Recover.

Partition recovery

Partition Recovery module allows you to find deleted, corrupted, and lost partitions and then restore lost files on those partitions.

Step 1: Start Hodo Data Recovery and select the Partition Recovery module.

Step 2: Select the hard drive to search for lost partitions and then click Next.

Step 3: Wait while searching for lost partitions.

Step 4: Once the lost partition is found, you can stop the scanning process and then click on the Lost lost partitions link to retrieve the partitions and the recovered data remains intact.

Step 5: If you cannot recover lost partitions found, you can select the lost partitions and click on the Scan button to scan files on that partition.

Recover RAW files

With the Raw File Recovery module, you can retrieve data of any file type from a partition or removable media by selecting the type of file you want to recover.

Step 1: Start Hodo Data Recovery and select the Raw File Recovery module.

Step 2: Select the partition where the files were lost and click Next.

Step 3: Select the types of files you want to recover and click Scan.

Step 4: Wait during the scan, all the lost files will be found in the scanned partition and displayed in the tree structure on the left.

Step 5: Preview the files you want to recover and then click Recover.
