How to cancel a reservation:

Users can cancel the reservation online via MyWorld account. All you need to do is log in to your personal account and then view the list of upcoming bookings. Click on the number of the booking you want to cancel. The Cancel button appears that allows you to cancel your reservation online. However, with the standard flexible reservation type (Standard Flexible Booking), you must cancel directly via your personal account to get a refund of the reservation fee.

If you book on one of the Hostelworld websites or you do not have a MyWorld account, you can still cancel the service by contacting directly via the contact details on the Confirmation Email. However, in case of cancellation, the reservation cost and the deductible will not be refunded. But if you make a standard flexible reservation and have canceled it via your personal MyWorld account within the traveler's authorization period, this amount is not refundable in cash but still paid to your Hostelworld.com account (in United States Dollars) and will be used for future bookings on Hostelworld.

The cancellation policy on Hostelworld takes effect within 24 hours before the start of your travel dates. This means, you must cancel your seat at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees and deposits. Late cancellation or no-show fees will be charged by the total cost of the first night of stay and be deducted from your credit card account.

How to change a reservation:

Hostelworld users can change their booking in the following 2 ways:

Change your reservation online through your personal MyWorld account by paying a small fee to change the information. All you need to do is log in to your personal account and then view the list of upcoming bookings. Click on the number of booking you want to change. The Change button appears allowing you to change your reservation online. However, if you make a standard flexible booking, you cannot change the information online but have to cancel and re-book it according to the new information.

If you book on one of the Hostelworld websites or you do not have a MyWorld account, you can still change this service by contacting directly via the contact details on the confirmation Email.

Request resending confirmation letter:

When you press the Confirm button, you will take about a minute to receive confirmation of the reservation on the screen. Do not press the confirmation button more than once or you will be charged more than once. Please note that due to the nature of the Internet and email servers, sometimes confirmation emails are not sent to the recipient or you have entered your wrong email address. However, all your booking information will be stored on Hostelworld's online travel directory MyWorld.

Standard Flexible Booking:

The selection of the Standard Flexible Booking option allows users to cancel and re-book on Hostelworld.com with unlimited and arbitrary number of times, making it easy for you to change your plan while traveling without losing deposit cost.

If you choose a flexible booking option, you will only pay a small initial fee but if you decide to cancel the booking, although the deposit is not refundable in cash, it will be paid to your Hostelworld.com account. Booking fees are not refundable.

How to book on Hostelworld:

First, you need a valid credit card, debit card or Paypal account to make online booking. The cards accepted by Hostelworld are Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch, JCB and Laser. Your card will be charged as a deposit (in cash) and a reservation fee ($ 2 unless you are a MyWorld member or a yellow card, or own a valid discount card).

After selecting your destination, desired accommodation type, number of people and number of nights, you will be directed to the card information screen to confirm your reservation. You will receive a confirmation on the screen for the reservation to print out and bring to the hotel for use. The remaining amount for the hotel reservation will be clearly displayed on the booking confirmation screen. This cost is calculated according to the local currency.

Fixed booking type:
