This section will guide you to download the software to your computer and begin the installation process.
Before the software installation process, your printer must be properly installed and the printer is ready to print.

- Turn on the printer and computer first.

- Close all screensavers, antivirus and other software running on the computer.

- Click the download link and the File Download dialog box will appear.

- Select Save This Program to Disk and the Save As dialog box appears.

- Select a folder to save the file on the drive and click Save.

- Locate the file using Windows Explorer when the download is complete.

- Double-click the file to extract the entire driver file to a directory on the hard drive. The extracted files will have the same name as the printer type you downloaded (for example, lj1005 ). However, you can change the path and directory name while extracting.

- Open Windows Printers window (Click Start -> Settings -> Printers )

Update the printer if it has previous driver version installed

- Right-click the printer and select Properties .
- On the General tab, select New Driver .
- Click on the Warning Box .
- A printer list dialog box appears. Select Have Disk .
- The Install from Disk dialog box appears.
- Click Browse to locate the extracted driver files.
- Click the file with the extension .inf.
- Click Open and then OK to have the file installed

Install a new printer

- Click Add New Printer
- Follow the instructions of the Add Printer Wizard
