ID Browser Backup

You are planning to reinstall Windows, but you are afraid of losing all the data and optimization settings that have been set for earlier browsers. Therefore, the first thing you need to do is to back up your browser settings to restore them later.ID Browser Backup (IB) software is a great way to do this, as it can back up and restore settings like bookmarks, cookies, list of downloaded items, Autocomplete data, history, extensions . for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Thunderbird, Mozilla and Opera.

1. Backup browser settings

From the main IB interface, select 1 of the 5 supported browsers in the left pane. In the Action section, leave the Backup option as is. Under the Select a file to backup / restore field , click the Browse button and look for the location where the backup file of the browser setting has the * .fbf extension. If you want to protect the backup file you just created with a password, check the Protect the file with password box, then enter the same password in the 2 empty boxes below. Next, select the components you want to back up from the Backup / Restore items pane (the default is to select all). Finally, press the Backup button to start creating the backup file.

2. Restore settings for the browser

Under the Select a file to backup / restore field , click the Browse button and select the file containing the backed up settings. In the Action section, select the Restore box. Enter the password protection (if any). Next, select the components you want to restore in the Backup / Restore items pane. Finally, click the Restore button to proceed with the recovery.
