Immersive Explorer is designed as a software that replaces the default file browser in Windows (called Windows Explorer).

It aims to provide an "Immersive" experience to users by focusing on the content rather than hiding it behind useless icons and large window borders. It will also prevent users from having to open different applications and navigate between multiple windows when doing simple things like viewing a picture.

For example, when a user wants to see an image, instead of opening Windows Photo Viewer in a new window, this image will be displayed directly in the Explorer Immersive window.
