Part I: How to export music and playlists from an iOS device to iTunes

Step 1: Copy the music to iTunes

Method 1: Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to the Mac via a USB cable. Then launch this iSkysoft TunesOver program. Information related to your device will be displayed as below. Click the ' Copy Music to iTunes ' option at the bottom of the main interface.

Next, you will see a pop-up window. It will tell you the missing track and playlist will be copied to the iTunes library. You can press the 'Start' button to start conversion.

Method 2: Click the ' Music ' tab at the top of the main window and the playlist will be displayed. Now, press the ' Smart Export to iTunes ' option at the top of the main window and the song will be transferred to iTunes. Next, you can select the music you want and click the ' Export to iTunes ' option to export them to the iTunes library.

Note: TunesOver only copies missing music tracks and playlists with comments and plays to the iTunes library. That means it will not copy existing songs or music from the iTunes library.

Step 2: Copy the playlist to iTunes

To switch the playlist, press the ' Music ' tab and you will see the playlist on the right side of the main window. Just right click on one of the songs and select ' Export to iTunes ' to start copying the playlist to iTunes.

Part II: How to export data from an iOS device to a Mac

Step 1: Convert music to Mac or iTunes

When you need to transfer selected music files to Mac, just press the ' Music ' tab on the right side of the main window. Then, press ' Music ' to display the track list. Check the song you want and click ' Export ' or ' Export to iTunes ' to transfer the song to Mac or iTunes.

Note: You can also use the same method to transfer Podcasts, iTunes U, Audiobooks and voice memos. Also, in the playlist, you will see some songs with the iTunes icon. That means those songs are already available on your iTunes library, so you don't need to select them.

Step 2: Transfer photos to Mac or iTunes

Click on the ' Photos ' tab and you will see a list of Camera Roll, Photo Stream and Photo Library displayed on the right side of the main window. Click ' Photo Library ' and select the picture, then click ' Export ' to transfer photos.

Part III: How to transfer data from Mac to iOS device

Step 1: Transfer the media file to an iOS device

If you want to convert your favorite music from your Mac to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can press the ' Music ' tab, then select ' Add ' at the top of the main window. You will see a pop-up window to browse music files. Select the files you want and import them into your iOS device. You can do the same thing when transferring photos and videos.

Note: TunesOver provides you with an available media file browser. Therefore, click on the ' Media Browser ' icon in the top right corner of the main window to select the music, images or videos you want to transfer to iDevice.

Step 2: Convert media files to iDevice compatible format

TunesOver has the ability to convert songs or videos to a format compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. If you are transferring incompatible media files from your Mac to your iOS device, a pop-up window will appear asking you to convert the file format. Next, press the ' Convert ' button to start converting the file into a format that supports your device.

Part IV: How to manage data on iOS devices

Step 1: Manage audio files

Open the ' Music ' menu, you will see the audio file type and the playlist on the right side of the main window. If you want to add or delete songs, you can press the ' Music ' option and press the ' Add ' button or select songs and press ' Delete ' to delete them.
