How to create a partition
Step 1: First, download and launch the Macrorit Disk Partition Expert software. You will see all details of partitions and hard drives.
Step 2: Select the unallocated space that you want to create, right click and then click Create Volume .
Step 3: Determine information about new partitions such as labels, drive letters, file systems (NTFS or FAT), type of partition (logical or primary) and then click OK to add the drive creation task.
Step 4: Finally, click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
Note:
- Supported file systems: FAT16 || FAT32 || NTFS.
- Cluster size: 512Byte - 128K.
- Support MBR / GPT drive to create partition.
How to delete a partition
Step 1: Launch Macrorit Disk Partition Expert, you will see all the details of the partition and the drive.
Step 2: Select the partition / drive you want to delete, right click and then click Delete Volume .
Step 3: Click OK to add the pending task.
Step 4: Click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
How to resize system partition
Step 1: Launch the Macrorit Disk Partition Expert software, you will see all the details of the partition and the drive.
Step 2: Make sure there is still unallocated space next to the partition you want to resize (partition C) on the hard drive. If not, minimize the size of the partition next to partition C to have some unallocated space. Here, we will shrink partition D.
Select partition D, right click on it to access shortcut menu. And then select the Move / Resize button from the menu.
You will see the window pop up as a snapshot.
" Volume size " displays the current partition size.
" Unallocate space before " shows unallocated space to the left of partition D.
" Unallocate space after " shows the unallocated space located to the right of partition D.
Set space of partition D with size 45053MB (shrink 1GB = 1024MB), move mouse to another input box and left click, data of " unallocate space before " will display the exact size automatically. You can also manually set the size of " unallocate space before ". And then click " OK " button.
Then you can see the drive has been scaled down by 1GB.
Step 3: Finally, click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
How to copy partitions
Step 1: Launch the Macrorit Disk Partition Expert software, you will see all the details of the partition and the drive.
Step 2: Select the partition you want to copy, and then click Copy Volume .
Step 3 : Select the unallocated space to hold your source partition, and then click " Next ".
Step 4: Select a new partition type. The default type is according to the root partition. And you can also resize partitions as you like. Click Finish to add the pending partition copy task.
Step 5: Finally, click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
Note:
- Only unallocated space can be selected as the target location to contain the source partition.
- The size of unallocated space must be equal to or greater than the source partition size.
How to format a partition
Step 1: Launch the Macrorit Disk Partition Expert software, you will see all the details of the partition and the drive.
Step 2: Right-click the partition you want to format, and then click Format .
Step 3: You can reset the partition label, file system, and cluster size. Click OK to add the pending partition formatting task.
Step 4: Finally, click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
How to hide hard drive partition
Step 1: Launch the Macrorit Disk Partition Expert software, you will see all the details of the partition and the drive.
Step 2: Select the partition you want to make hidden.
Step 3: Click " Volume "> " Hide Volume ", you can also right-click on the partition to access the shortcut menu. And then click the Hide Volume button from the menu.
Step 4: Finally, click the " Apply changes " button to finish.
How to unhide the hard drive partition
The steps to unhide the hard drive partition are the same as above, except that you should select " Unhide Volume ".
Note:
- You cannot hide / unhide existing system boot partition.
- Drive letter will be lost after doing hidden, automatically assigned after unhiding.
