Mail Merge Lite for Android

Mail Merge is an Android application that allows users to send personalized and private email to multiple recipients using an existing template - email template - and the data the sender needs. Each contact data is stored in schools belonging to a group. These fields are used to customize the email template. When sending emails, this application combines data from each contact into the email template to create the most personalized emails. Emails are sent directly from the email account set up in this app.

Email account:

The user will have to set up an email account in this app to send emails. This application only needs to install SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to send email. It does not read email so it is not used to receive emails. Users can set up a Gmail account to send mail using the OAuth protocol. OAuth allows you to send email using your Gmail account without having to enter your Gmail password. Users can revoke access on the Google Account page.

You can also set any email to allow SMTP access using the SMTP server settings and email information. Password will be encrypted on device. Users can delete email accounts by pressing and holding accounts in the list of email accounts list.

Groups

Groups allows users to organize contact data by fields. Each bap group consists of 10 different schools. You can name the fields in a group to easily identify them when building the template. Whenever adding a new group, the user should name it and name 10 fields in this group. By default, if the field is not named, the field will be named 'field_ # '. Each school name in a group needs to be unique. You need to create a group before importing contacts or building a template. A team field is used to store contact data and to personalize email templates.

After creating a group, the user can rename the group or its field by pressing and holding the group in the list of groups. After building the template using the fields of a group, remember not to change the name of the field in the group later. Changing the field name in a group will cause the current template (containing the old field name) to be disabled.

Contacts

Contacts are used to save email recipient information to personalize email sent to them. Each contact belongs to a group. A contact includes the email address, the recipient's name and 10 fields within that group. All this data is accepted by email address. When creating a contact, it is always assigned to a group. The email address of a contact is unique within the group. You have the option to create contacts manually or import them from the device.

Users can view the imported contacts by group or view them on all groups. You can also edit the value of a contact field or assign contacts from one group to another. When changing email addresses or reassigning contacts from one group to another, the application will still enforce unique email addresses in each group. Users can delete contacts from a group by tapping and holding them in the contact list.

Templates

A template will help form the email. It includes the subject and body of the email. You can build a template to send the 3 types of emails mentioned above. When creating a template, you will have to assign a group and cannot change it later. This group provides templates with 10 fields that contain contact data in them. Users can enter these 10 fields anywhere in the subject or body of the template to personalize email.
