MB Calorie Calculator is a simple medical software with an easy to use interface.

This program is designed to calculate the daily calories that your body needs. This is calculated based on height, weight, age, gender and daily activity.

Want to lose weight does not mean we have to stop eating completely. Our bodies need calories to perform various activities. We take calories through the different foods we absorb.

This software uses the Harris - Benedict principle to determine the amount of calories needed daily. This equation calculates the basal metabolic rate (BMR) and then adjusts it according to the type of daily activity it takes to get the calories it needs.

The Harris-Benedict principle is shown below:

  • For men: Calorie needs or BMR = 66 + (13.7 x weight) + (5 x height) - (6.8 x age)
  • For women: Calorie needs or BMR = 665 + (9.6 x weight) + (1.8 x height) - (4.7 x age)

As soon as the BMR is calculated, we can include daily activities to give the calorie needs in a more specific way. This calorie calculation formula may be used as a guide, but we should consult a doctor's advice before taking any measures.

This is a free software and only takes 2-5 minutes to register. All you have to do is enter the required information and the software will do the rest for you.
