Download the Memopal client installation tool

  • To begin the installation, go here to download Memopal.
  • The browser will automatically recognize your operating system and download the version you need.
  • If the operating system is not recognized correctly, you can select the appropriate client for your operating system shown in the " Other available versions " section.
  • When the appropriate client is selected, just click Run to start the download and launch the installation tool.

Install the Memopal client

  • When the installation tool starts, the first step is to choose your language.
  • After selecting the language, click Install on the Welcome window and the installation process will start by copying the files that the client needs to operate.
  • When installation is complete, click Finish and the program will begin the configuration process.

Configuration settings for the client

  • The screen will display: Documents, Single Folder and Custom for you to choose.

Documents

  • When you select Documents, Memopal will create a backup of all files in the following folders: Desktop, Documents and Settings, folders containing Outlook mail, folders containing application data.

Single Folder

  • When you select Single Folder, the + button will appear and display the folder tree on your hard drive if you click on it.
  • By clicking the + button, you can view the contents of subfolders until you find the desired folder.
  • When the file is displayed, click on its name and then OK to make a selection. The name of the folder will be displayed on the key (for example, C: Documents and Settings).

Custom

  • If you need to configure settings for different paths, you can choose the last option to be Custom.
  • To select a folder, just click on the empty box next to the icon. When you click on a folder containing other subfolders, the selection of that folder will be successively recursed by all sub folders (for example, down to the last level).
  • For a better selection of folders, press + to open additional levels. Folders without + next to the icon will not contain another sub-level.

First-time configuration settings for Memopal client

As part of the installation process, Memopal will create a Memopal folder at C: Programmi or C: Program Files depending on the language selected in the client system.

The next step is to configure the client for the first time.

Note: all parameters configured in this section can be changed later when the client boots.
