Seadragon Mobile, a free download from the iTunes App Store, provides iPhone users with online access to the image library when using Wi-Fi or 3G network connection.

The images in this gallery are sourced from Microsoft's Photosynth website. Users can select hundreds of photos and then combine them into a 3-dimensional image that can be viewed from any angle or close-up details. However, in version 1.0, Seadragon Mobile only owns a collection of 50 examples for a range of up to 10 gigapixels, including satellite images, art and space images. In addition, Seadragon Mobile supports RSS so users will also know the new content available on the website.

Seadragon is the core technology of the Microsoft Photosynth photo browser. It is designed for smooth zooming in and out, but is not affected by bandwidth or image size. Seadragon on the iPhone is a test step of Microsoft Live Labs to prove this technology can work well even with a display surface the size of a wall or on a mobile device.
