Although you can check the bootability of a CD / DVD or USB flash drive by setting it up in the BIOS, this is a tricky task for those new to the computer. Besides, most virtual machine software today does not support booting from USB Flash.

After downloading, you just need to run MobaLiveCD_v2.1.exe file to start the program. From the main interface of the program, you will see 3 options:

- Right-click menu : add MobaLiveCD boot option to the Windows context menu.

- Run the LiveCD : launch the ISO file containing the contents of the bootable CD / DVD.

- Run the LiveUSB : start the auto-start function from the USB Flash drive attached to the computer.

For example, to check an ISO file containing Hirent's Boot CD, click the Run the LiveCD button, select the ISO file to test, and click the Open button to confirm.

At this point, MobaLiveCD will display a message window to ask you whether you want to create an image file of the hard disk for virtual machines or not. You just need to click the No button to confirm and continue the work without creating virtual hard disk files.

That's it, now, the entire contents of the boot disk will be displayed in a new window, you can easily switch the mouse cursor between the computer screen and the screen of MobaLiveCD by clicking keystrokes .

Similarly, you can run the boot function of the USB Flash drive by attaching the USB flash drive to the computer's USB port, then starting MobaLiveCD and selecting the Run the LiveUSB option, a window appears, here, you choose Select USB Flash drive from the program list then click OK to confirm.

Select No when the hard disk file creation notification window for the virtual machine appears. That's it, now MobaLiveCD will proceed to boot from the USB Flash you just selected.
