MusicBrainz Picard

Most computer users like us have the habit of keeping our favorite music to enjoy at any time. And with time, this 'library' is also becoming more diverse with many different genres arranged without any rules. If you want to classify the whole of this huge 'library', it will take quite a long and hard time. In the following article, we will introduce you to a utility tool that can help users solve this problem quite simply and quickly - MusicBrainz.

In essence, MusicBrainz is a huge form of online database of music, using fingerprints of audio to identify and categorize music files even if the user names incorrectly.

And immediately, Picard will proceed to identify and classify these 2 albums. The first is the Dexter's OST - displayed with a yellow disk icon, which is completely defined. The second album is Lateralus of Tool, with a silver disc icon, and the accompanying information indicates that the album is missing 2 songs. Keep clicking the Lateralus and Lookup albums:

The last track has been missing, shown with a different icon from the rest

Now that we have the necessary metada information, save these parameters directly and individually. But before that, let Picard rename the file automatically based on this metadata, in this default mode, this feature has been disabled. Select menu Options> File naming and check the box Rename files when saving :
