NetStumbler

NetStumbler 0.4.0 is one of the oldest and most famous Stumblers Wi-Fi tools, running on Windows and Windows CE / Mobile phones. It lists nearby access points and displays basic content such as: SSID, channel, speed, MAC address, provider, and encryption. Unlike most other stumblers, it also shows signal, noise, and level of signal-to-noise value. In addition, it also supports GPS to record AP locations when wardriving.

NetStumbler provides a tool to help users detect WLAN 802.11 a / b / g standards and validate network configuration. The NetStumbler GUI is quite simple. It includes a menu, a button bar and two control panels to browse features and wireless LAN statistics found. Users can classify them by Channel or SSID, and apply filters such as Encryption, ESS (Extended Service Set), IBSS (Independent Basic Service Set), CF Pollable, Short Preamble, PBCC (Packet Binary Convolutional Code) or Short Slot Time.
