Instructions for installing OpenEmu on Mac

Step 1: Download and install the latest version of XCode for Mac.

Step 2 : After installing XCode on your computer, you need to clone the source code for OpenEmu . You need to install Github for Mac (you can download this software here) and create a Github account. Then navigate to the OpenEmu folder at https://github.com/OpenEmu/OpenEmu and click the Clone in Desktop option .

Note : You will not be able to install the software if you just click Download ZIP .

Step 3 : After Github for Mac has finished cloning, access the OpenEmu folder just created.

Step 4 : Open the folder and search for the OpenEmu.xcworkspace file. Double click on the file and open the file in XCode .

Step 5 : When opening XCode , you will see many files and cores used to run OpenEmu for Mac in the left column.

In the top part of the XCode interface, click the long bar to the right of the Stop button and select Scheme .

Then select Build All => My Mac 64 Bit .

Step 6 : To compile (compile) this program, select Product => Build For => Profiling in the menu bar.

Step 7 : The software will start compile. This will take about 5 minutes, depending on the processing speed of the computer.

Step 8 : After XCode has successfully compile OpenEmu for Mac . Search for OpenEmu.app in Finder , right-click on the file and select Open Enclosing Folder .

Step 9 : You can drag and drop the ROM into the program interface to play the game.
