Opera Widgets For Desktop 10.10 Beta for Mac

The widgets designed for Opera are similar to the Firefox add-ons. Following Opera Unite technology, Opera Software recently made a new breakthrough when it released Opera Widgets For Desktop with Widget Runtime technology , allowing the widget to run as a standalone application on the desktop.

Widgets used to work in the past based on Opera, but with Opera Widgets For Desktop, you can install and run widgets like a normal application through shortcuts created on the desktop, even when the browser is closed.

If you've already installed Opera before, you should install Opera Widgets For Desktop in the type of upgrade (Upgrade).

The Widget Import Wizard dialog box appears after activating Opera Widgets For Desktop if you have previously installed widgets for an older version of Opera. Click the Import button > Finish to import into Opera Widgets For Desktop. Of course, you can remove widgets that you do not want to use anymore.

Note: The newest, most downloaded and most appreciated widgets will appear when you click the New, Most downloaded and Highest rated links located in the upper left corner of the interface.

Immediately, the widget installation file with the wgt extension will be downloaded using the built-in function of the browser (do not install the widget online and integrate it into Opera as before). The download process of the .wgt file will appear in the Downloads tab, located to the right of the opening card

After closing the widget, if you want to activate it again, simply double-click the shortcut with the same name as the widget on the desktop.

The good news is that you can run and exploit many Opera widgets at the same time on the desktop.

Removing Opera widgets is similar to removing other programs, using the Add / Remove Programs feature of Windows XP, Programs and Features of Windows Vista / 7 or a third-party utility.
