How to use Picture Resizer

• Download the path of PhotoResize400.exe and place the software icon on the desktop.
• Drag and drop JPG files or folders containing JPG files into this icon.
• The Picture Resizer tool resizes JPGs and saves them next to the original ones.The name of the new image will be based on the original image name, with a suffix indicating the size of the image.For example, the resized version of a MyPhoto.jpg image will have a new name MyPhoto-400.jpg where 400 represents the current image size.

Set Picture Resizer

The size of the output image will be adjusted according to the name of the software. To change the image name, click the icon to select and then perform the following steps: press F2, select the content below the icon or right-click the icon and choose the Rename command from the menu.

Depending on your specific setup, you may or may not see the .exe at the end. If you see the .exe extension, keep it the same, if not, add it manually.

Picture Resizer does not limit the number of images resized at once, but there are a number of factors that affect the total number of images.

When the image file is dragged and dropped onto the Picture Resizer software icon, Windows Explorer will send the name of the downloaded file as a command-line parameter to the Picture Resizer. However, Windows will limit the length of the command line. Advanced settings for Picture Resizer

Resize images in subfolders:

To scan recursive images, add the letter R to the software name. For example, change the name to PhotoResize400R.exe.

Command line options:

Photo Resizer accepts command-line parameters via the settings override from the file name of the tool. You can customize the standard output of the software and ignore the last notice of the tool.

Note: when using complex options that contain spaces or special characters such as, <,>, /, you must enclose them in quotation marks. For example, "-if X

Change the output directory:

By default, Photo Resizer will create photos of the new size in the folder next to the original image. These custom export directories are identified with the -c flag, but require the use of a command line.

If you want to resize a file via drag and drop, you can create a shortcut. If the letter C is used at the end of the file name (PhotoResize400C.exe) and the current directory is specified in the shortcut, the file will be placed in that directory.

Select the output directory with the shortcut:

Set up (rename) the Photo Resizer software, then create your own shortcut. The shortcut is created by right-clicking and selecting the Create Shortcut command .

The shortcut will determine the current directory for the software. The value is set by default for the folder in the software. You can change this in the shortcut settings window. If changing the directory, use a valid new value (the directory already exists). Drag and drop the file into the shortcut so the image is sent to the selected folder.

Note: Other options such as C, R, L, H, I, M, S, N, T will be used at the same time by changing the corresponding application name. For example PhotoResize400CR.exe.
