Quake IV is a continuation of Quake II and the similar battle scene in Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Compared to other parts of the Quake series, Quake 4 emphasizes more with a single player mode - single player mode in the game. Of course, the multiplayer mode is still available, but not as prominent as in Quake III: Arena .

In the battle for the survival of the earth, when you face enemies who are stronger than you, the only way to destroy them is to blend into their forces. Quake IV players will be equipped with modern weapons and equipment, supported by elite navies to throw themselves into the fierce battle on the planet Strogg. You are the last hope to save the earth and humanity!

The game follows the story of the crew of Matthew Kane - who will join the elite Rhino Squad. In Part 2, after defeating Strogg's commander, Makron, the Rhino army continues to rescue Stroggos from aliens. During this invasion, the ship was shot down and crashed into the middle of the battlefield, causing Kane to get lost from his group. Kane tries to rejoin the army and resumes his mission to fight Strogg.

After completing a series of missions such as destroying and robbing warehouses and defenses, Kane and the rest of the area turned the area into USS Hannibal. They take over the new task: infiltrate Strogg's main information area, called Tetranode, place bombs and cause chaos here. Kane is responsible for protecting the ship entering this new area.

After several failures, including the mission to destroy the EMP device in a Strogg ambush, Kane completed the mission and was assisted by Private Johann Strauss (Peter Stormare) and Lance Corporal Nikolai "Sledge" Slidjonovitch ( Dimitri Diatchenko). And the real war begins!
