Instructions for use and tips for SoundCloud on iPhone / iPad

Handling login errors:

If you have forgotten your password, you can use your primary email address for your account to retrieve your password. The publisher will send back an email for users to recover the password and access SoundCloud account again.

If you are unsure of the email address associated with your personal account, or cannot use any email to log in, please notify the SoundCloud service administrator directly to perform some additional steps. and restore the original account.

Troubleshooting page loading or playing music:

If you cannot load a page or play any track on the SoundCloud service, users can clear all browser cache and cookies and then restart. Please check the latest version of SoundCloud compared to the update on the App Store app store.

Please also check the Status Blog for news and updates for any error service that has occurred on your device.

SoundCloud error on mobile devices:

If the SoundCloud for iOS application does not work correctly on mobile devices, users can reinstall this program.

If the error is not fixed, you can reinstall the application a second time to fix the error. Sometimes a mobile device still stores settings and other data after reinstalling the application.

Personal playlists, favorites, statistics, comments . are still stored in your profile and will reappear, but the recordings are stored internally when you haven't posted them to the server. SoundCloud will be completely erased. Please upload the entire recording to SoundCloud before reinstalling the application.

Handling errors uploading music files:

First, make sure your account still has enough minutes allowed. You can check if your account has exceeded the limit on the tracking page, and how to delete hidden tracks to increase the upload time for your account.

Secondly, note that you can record audio tracks in the mobile application, but cannot upload any audio file on SoundCloud from a mobile device.

If the error is still not fixed, you can follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in the uploading and transcoding section.

Error of not receiving Email notification of new followers:

The service has stopped sending out Email notifications of new followers. The purpose to ensure these Emails are successfully transferred from the Email services of SoundCloud. Many emails have not been opened after receiving, or reported as spam, so this notification service has stopped working.

However, you will still receive notifications of new followers via the push notification system on the SoundCloud app on your smartphone as well as on-site notifications on your personal SoundCloud profile.

User blocked:

In order to develop a healthy, quality music community, in some cases, users will be blocked to ensure the operation of SoundCloud. If you receive a warning about your activity, you may have been blocked. The user will be locked out of the account if they violate the following actions:

• Post the same comment or message from your personal account (copy and paste pictures, or send comments, messages with the same link .).
• You follow too many accounts in a short time.
• Follow too many new friends to unfollow.
• Bookmark your favorites or re-upload too many pieces of music in a day (make sure you have listened to every track before bookmarking or sharing it).
• Bookmark or re-upload too many new songs you removed from the Like and share.
• Contribute your music to many groups in a short time.
• Many community members flag your account, send messages or comment as spam.

Error not receiving notification on iPhone:

Notifications are turned off on iOS devices. The error is being analyzed and will be fixed soon.

However, users can turn on the notification function to send to individual mailboxes:

• Log in to your profile from a computer.
• Click on account settings from the drop down menu at the top of the profile.
• Click Email.
• Adjust notifications as you wish to receive below activity alerts.
