Star Wars: The Old Republic is a perfect combination of the vast, impressive fantasy world of George Lucas with BioWare's ability to build extremely clever role-playing games.
The historic time in Star Wars: The Old Republic is 300 years after the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series and 3500 years before the events of the Star Wars blockbuster series.
The game is set 10 years after the peace was established between the Empire Sith Empire and the Republic in the Star Wars galaxy. Within 10 years of living in peace, both forces have secretly developed their own armies and when the fire of a new war gradually started, that's when gamers started the game. with Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Entering the world of Star Wars: The Old Republic, gamers can choose 1 of 8 available classes.
Star Wars: The Old Republic introduces to the warrior player Sith - the guardian of the Dark Side, possessing the unstoppable power of darkness, carrying in his mission to destroy the enemies of the Empire and gradually take the Sith return, rule the whole galaxy.
The Sith warriors use spontaneous emotions, fears, hatred and anger to eliminate weaknesses in the body and spirit to become pure and violent entities.
Born to purify the Jedi, the Sith wanted to rule the galaxy with power and threat. The Empire's army was trained only to carry out that mission, but they still needed the leadership of the Sith Warriors - loyal and powerful - to conquer and win.
Every hero in the game has a companion. Han has Chewi, Luke has R2-D2, and Jabba has a monkey - Salacious B. Crumb's lizard. These characters can increase the power or reduce the player's weaknesses, and give players the arduous tasks to be completed. Whether they are belligerent, friendly, lovely or simply bring laughter, these companions always help you on a difficult and challenging journey.
In Star Wars: The Old Republic, there will be many companions that will join you for personal purposes. Some will participate because they want to explore, some for wealth, and some reasons are kept secret during the expedition. These companions range from smart robots to alien monsters, from the famous princess to the crafty pirates, and each character class has unique abilities.
When traveling in space, these companions will provide comments, information about their intentions, and directions to the destination - all of which have their own views. These characters will act freely, and try to influence your decision. However, you can also direct them, and change the story the producer has developed. Depending on your choice, some of these characters will become your best friends, others may become lovers, and some may become enemies!
You will soon be introduced to your first travel companion on the adventure. But the more you become seasoned, the more people will come for your purpose. As you go with your companions and start to understand them, they will not only become stronger, but they will also bring you lots of missions and rewards. Moreover, you will be able to increase the power of your companions by equipping them with state-of-the-art equipment.
The level of play opened is limited to 50 and gamers have access to Cartel Market. Free players can also reach level 50, the maximum level of Star Wars: The Old Republic, however there will be some restrictions compared to paid players.
