SupervisionCam 3.2

A webcam is a video recording device commonly used for online chatting on the Internet. You can use some SupervisionCam utility software in conjunction with the Webcam as a remote monitoring device. The images captured by the Webcam will be saved as BMP, JPG or PNG formats or Video AVI format with sound. In addition, you can set up the program to automatically sound the alarm, run another program, send email or transfer all data to the predefined Webserver.

This is useful if you want to protect your home, office, monitor your children at home, etc. To use the auto-dial feature and transfer image data to the Internet, you must use the program. browse Internet Explorer 5.0 and above.

1. How to set up and use
- Run the program, select the Motion Detection tab. At Setting Video Source , select the video capture device you have again. The other options in this tab should be set to the default mode of the program.

2. Set up the recording and save the image
- Click the Save Image tab, in Motion Detection , check the box for Save Image when a motion detected (save when captured moving objects in the frame). Want to retain how many latest photos, select the Keep only the latest and check the number of images in the box. This limits the image to be saved too much.
In Time Scheduled , declare the time interval to take a photo (in seconds, the default is 10 seconds / photo). In the Destination directory , specify the directory containing the images. For Image format , select the JPG format for small sizes. To delete old photos, select Delete images older than and specify the date.
- The program can record the Videos in AVI format. Select the AVI tab, check Capture AVI started when a motion detected . Set the time via Capture at least item. If you want to record the sound, you should tick the Add Sound section and select the device in the box below (must have a sensitive microphone, the new sound recording will work).

3. Set an audible alarm
The program allows you to set alarms with a variety of sounds (eg when someone enters your home, there will be a siren from the police, for example). Select the Play Sound / Run Program tab and check the Play sound when a motion is detected item, select the WAV audio in the program list or any other optional sound (you can use Micro and use the Sound Recorder feature of Windows to record a voice track and save it into the program).
If you want to run a program, select Run a program when a motion is detected and select Browse to select the program.

4. Set up sending e-mail

The program has the feature of automatically sending an e-mail to a specified address when the Camera captures 'strange' images in the frame. Click the Send Message / Mail tab.
If the computer is connected to a local area network (LAN), select the Send a message when a motion is detected check box . Select the computer name in the list or select New to type directly in. In the Message box, type the message text. When the camera captures the moving picture, it will immediately send a message to the computer identified above.
If you want to send e-mail via the Internet, select the Send a mail when a motion is detected check box . Choose whether the Mail server's protocol is MAPI or SMTP. In the Mail Server section, type the name of the Mail Server . Enter your username and password in the User and Password boxes. In the Address box, declare the e-mail address to send information to.

Subject line, type the subject of the message and the message body into the Message box. Check Use Dial in Connection , the program will use the default Internet connection on your computer. To limit the time to send mail, check Do not send more than one mail in , then set the time. By default, no more than 10 minutes / e-mail. Declare the number of photos to attach in the Attach max . images section . Click Test .

5. Upload photos and content acquired by Camera to Webserver
For remote monitoring via the Internet, you can Upload the entire image to the Webserver where you put your Website. All collected still images and animations are transferred on a preset page. Later, even at a distance, you only need to be able to access the Web to know everything. Click the HTML Page / Server Upload / Dial In tab.
If you want to Upload the image when it is saved, select the Start upload when an image was saved check box . Limit the connection time in the section below Do not start more than one upload in , each data transfer no more than xxx minutes. Check Require Dialin connection and select the connection type below (Webserver must have FTP support to be able to do it).
Type the name of the Webserver in the Server Name box. Declare a directory to be saved in the Directory. You enter the username and password in the Login Name and Password boxes. In the Dial in section on the right, select the name of your Internet connection (previously declared in Network Connection).
Enter your Internet connection username and password in the User and Password fields. You can check it in the Test Dial in button. After declaring all program parameters, click OK . Click F2 to start monitoring.
