In Toca Life: After School for iOS, children can walk around 4 virtual clubs filled with different characters and objects. The ground floor is the playground, the first floor is an art studio, the second floor is the dance studio and the third floor is for sports. Children can scroll left or right to explore more areas, such as a cafeteria, bathrooms and a rooftop lounge. They can take the elevator to move between floors.

With Toca Life: After School for iOS, children can make and discover a lot of interesting things. Players can meet more than 27 characters and customize them with different costumes and accessories. In addition, children can also use the recording feature in the application to save their stories. When this feature is enabled, the application will record the character's voice and movement on the screen for up to 2 minutes and the player can save video to the camera roll on the device.
