DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance , which is used to share media files in the local network more simply and effectively. It uses the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol in managing resources. DLNA certified devices will be able to stream media files directly from other devices without the need to use a standard connection. DLNA compliant devices are divided into 3 categories: home network devices, portable devices and infrastructure devices. SmartTV or Xbox also fall into this category and that means you can stream videos from TV to computer and vice versa easily when they use the same network connection.

When you have vGet Cast application and DLNA certified devices, you can easily play computer videos on TV when using the same network connection. Users can choose one of the two sources for downloading video files, whether to browse the file in the computer or use the URL for the web video.

After downloading the file, the application will automatically find DLNA Render devices to play live video on it. If it has not been found, you can select Re-scan network for devices for the application to conduct device searches. Make sure the device is DLNA compliant and connected via a common internal network. There are many DLNA certified devices in the world today, mostly TVs, mobile phones, tablets, game consoles or cameras.
