VideoMonkey is a video converter for Mac OS built on the source code of VisualHub. VideoMonkey is an open source program with a simple and clear working interface.

VideoMonkey uses the FFMpeg encoder for conversion and has the ability to combine with other tools, even some of the files of other format types that the program does not support.

For example, if you edit a WMV file with Quicktime Pro and save it, VideoMonkey understands how to split audio and video and recombine them into a new format with your choice. If you have ever used and loved VisualHub, VideoMonkey makes a very good alternative.

VideoMonkey is completely customizable and allows you to drag / drop the items you like to the toolbar.

VideoMonkey supports converting most popular video formats today and is a very useful tool to convert videos for iPod, iPhone and iPhone touch devices. As for connectivity, it was developed specifically for Macs, and only supports Apple devices.
