VNIX Speedtest

VNIX Speedtest is a network speed test tool of the Ministry of Information and Communications, helping users to check the download speed, upload speed, access delay, and the stability of the Internet connection.

Through this tool, it also helps the specialized management agencies and the Department of Information and Communications to actively conduct measurement, monitoring and evaluation of Internet access quality in the area under their management.

How to use VNIX's Internet Access Quality Measurement System (Speedtest)

The Internet access quality measurement system is located at the National Internet Exchange (VNIX), users can choose the checkpoints: VNIX Hanoi, VNIX Da Nang, VNIX TP. Ho Chi Minh City, then click the Start button to get Internet quality parameters:

• Download speed: Measures download bandwidth from test point to user device (Mbps). This parameter affects users' use of services such as downloading data, watching television, etc.
• Upload Speed: Measures the upload bandwidth from a user device to a test point (Mbps). This parameter affects streaming services, sharing users' uploads online.
• Ping Standard: The average transmission time of the network from the user device to the test point (ms). This parameter affects applications that use voice and images such as Facebook Messenger, Skype, Viber, Zalo, etc.
• Jitter Criteria: Time delay between two consecutive packets in the same stream (ms). This parameter affects online activity in terms of picture and sound.

From there, users can collate the results with the parameters committed by the service provider, to ensure their rights.
