Instructions and tips for using Weblock on iPhone and iPad:

Compatible with iOS 8:

The latest updated version of iOS from Apple (iOS 8) will change the method by which proxy settings caching on your device. Previously all apps on the App Store copied common proxy settings, so just restarting an app after changing Weblock's filter settings. However, iOS 8 does not work according to this principle.

You need to reconnect to the WiFi network to change. This is easily done via the Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen). Double tap the WiFi connection shortcut to turn it off and then turn WiFi back on. This procedure will cause the device to download new filters from the Weblock server and thereby affect the entire application is running.

Operation process of Weblock:

Every time you visit a website or launch the application, the device connects to multiple locations via the Internet. Including downloading multimedia data, documents, scripts . In most cases and in the default mode, this connection is made directly to the server. New operating systems like iOS allow the setup of a PAC script to determine how to connect to the Internet. The PAC file (Proxy Auto Configuration) shows how the device connects to different locations on the Internet, depending on the server's URL or IP address.

Weblock will create, manage and host this PAC file . Each time you connect to several Internet locations, it will determine if this data is suitable for PAC files. If this location is blocked, the connection will automatically log the route through a proxy server. Since then the connection will be disabled, any content not matching the criteria will be blocked. This method allows you to block specific parts of a website or application.

How to set up Weblock:

Access the Filters section. Here you will see different rules and different types of content on the Internet to block. For advanced users, you can create your own rules for blacklist (blacklist), whitelist (whitelist) and navigation items. All Internet resources that comply with the blacklist rule will be blocked from accessing the device. All resources subject to the white list rule will be accessible. You can also define redirection rules and access some resources through other proxy servers.

To activate Weblock, you need to configure your WiFi network correctly.
