Basically, Where's My Water? XYY gives players 4 worlds (soon to be updated), each of the world has 20 different levels. Players need to use their fingers to dig the way through the sand to guide water, with the purpose of leading water down to XYY so that it can extinguish the burning fire at the entrance to the next room.

Adding a time challenge to Where's My Water? XXY has increased the difficulty, requiring players to think more carefully instead of just digging holes and hoping for luck. Fire, oil, vines, pulleys will make tables more difficult. For example, at some levels players will have to remember the floating characteristics of the oil when dividing water so that the pulley is activated while still having enough water for XYY to put out the fire. Everything is both difficult and tricky.

Besides getting water for XYY, there are 3 bells at each level that players need to dip water. This is an optional option and is intended only to add a bit of difficulty for the skillful player. However, you also need a certain number of bells to unlock the next world and these bells will bring a sum of money for players to use for other things. Why do you need money? Power up items and hints will be available when players encounter difficulties. These suggestions are also very useful, worth 100 coins because it provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete that level. Each bell earned will bring 10 coins and with each item costing 10 times as much, you will quickly run out of money. Besides, the money is also limited by playing levels that do not bring extra money for players, unless you get the bells that have not been previously collected.
