Xray Vision

It sounds like a rough protection, but one of the most effective ways to protect your files is to hide them.

If no one can see a file or folder, you are less worried that they will be accessed by someone. That's why you should use Xray Vision because this application allows you to easily hide files or display files and folders in Finder. In fact, Xray Vision doesn't do anything you can't do with OS X, it just makes things easier and gives you more control over hidden files.

When you open Xray Vision, you will see the main window where you want to browse the files you want to hide. Just select the files you want to hide and mark them invisible or visible. Files that appear in the Finder are red hidden while black is displayed.

Advantages:

  • Easily hide and display files and folders
  • Provides full control over hidden / visible items

Defect:

  • OS X allows you to hide several types of folders
  • May affect the file system if an error occurs.
