Search for videos:

To search for videos, use the detonator icon at the top of the main screen and enter your search term. To use video search by voice, click the microphone icon on the search page and then read the keyword aloud.

The YouTube Kids service uses advanced algorithms to ensure that the application only displays results that are appropriate for younger users. It is a combination of automatic analysis, manual sampling and user input, then classifying and displaying videos and topics that are suitable for children.

However, due to the huge amount of data uploaded to YouTube, about 300 hours of video are played every minute, so mistakes are inevitable. That's why YouTube Kids has to integrate a search engine lock feature so children can't find videos that aren't right for them.

Report inappropriate videos:

If you come across inappropriate content in YouTube Kids, please flag the violation for that video:

• Access videos to report.
• Touch the menu button in the upper corner of the video player.
• Select the Report button. Click Yes .

Flagged videos will be reviewed for 24 hours and 7 days, then removed from YouTube Kids if necessary.

Set the timer:

The Timer feature in YouTube Kids will limit kids' time to watch videos and remind them when to stop watching. The timer will appear as a gentle notification and close the application when the time is up.

How to set a timer:

• Touch the lock icon in the lower corner of any page in the application.
• Read and type the number that appears on the screen.
• Select Timer .
• Use the slider or plus and minus icons to set the time to turn off the application.
• Click Start Timer to start the countdown timer.

Children will see the message 'Time's up!' and the application will close immediately after the time is up. To unlock the screen, select the lock icon again, read and type the number that appears on the screen, then select Timer > End Timer.

Set up child control mode:

You can access parental management and other settings by following these steps:

• Touch the lock icon in the lower corner of any page in the application.
• Read and type the number that appears on the screen.
• Select Settings > Audio Settings.

In the default mode, you will hear background music and sound effects while navigating the application. If you want to turn off this sound feature, you can turn the Background Music and Sound Effects button to OFF .

To control the search (limited video appears on the main screen), turn off the Search button by turning this option to OFF .

Note, when you turn off Search , you won't see nominated or related videos in the YouTube Kids app.

To delete video viewing history and remove videos from nominations, press the Clear Watch Story button, select OK to save this change.

Play the video:

When you find a good video, double-tap the video to play the content. The video will be switched to full screen mode. Double tap again to minimize the screen during playback.

• Skip ads: Double-click Skip Ad Button to skip to the beginning of the video.
• Pause: double-click the Pause Video button to pause video playback.
• Next video : double-click the Next Video button to play the next related video.Below the video, you will see the related videos played automatically after this video finishes.
