yRead

yRead will load a text file (TXT) or HTML and display it in a single, resizable window. Then, the software will read aloud to you the selected file, using human voice. You can pick up voices for other languages. Use this software to listen to ebooks, private articles or any text.

Here is another suggestion: download a book to yRead, set up a voice recording on your computer, and then run the yRead file. The recording will be saved in WAV format (quite heavy) and then you can use the software to convert WAV to MP3 to edit and convert files.
