How to set up Amazon S3 account details:

Step 1 : To set up your Amazon S3 account, access the File menu > Accounts .

Step 2: In the dialog box that appears, click the New button to add a new Amazon S3 account to DragonDisk .

When the next dialog box appears, you need to complete the information fields such as account name, access key and secret key. In particular, the account name can be any string, helping to distinguish S3 accounts in DragonDisk. For information about the above two keys, users can access the Security Credentials section of the Amazon account on the web.

Step 3 : After successfully importing the above details, you will see that your account has been added to the Accounts list.

In case the user wants to change or enter a new access key, click on that account and select Edit . To manage multiple Amazon S3 accounts at the same time, repeat the above operation. In addition, you can lock or delete accounts from DragonDisk . If your account information is authenticated, that S3 account will be added to the Root list.

When you select the S3 account in the Root list, you can access and edit this storage account.

How to create a new bucket:

Step 1: When selecting S3 in the directory tree, users can create a new bucket by using the right mouse button or using the corresponding button on the toolbar.

Step 2 : Enter the bucket name in the dialog box that appears. Note that bucket names cannot be repeated.

Step 3 : Click the OK button to create a new bucket, you will see this bucket appear in the list and directory tree.

Options related to bucket:

When selecting a bucket in a directory tree, you can access many options in the right-click menu or in the toolbar. For example, users can delete content in the bucket, and can create new folders directly in a bucket.

Options related to files and directories:

Similar to bucket, DragonDisk supports a lot of options for handling files and directories. For example, you can use common keyboard shortcuts such as: press Del to delete or press F2 to rename the file / folder name.

Besides, users can also cut, copy, paste files and folders from the computer to DragonDisk or vice versa. To perform the above operations, DragonDisk allows to use right-click menu, shortcut keys, corresponding buttons on the toolbar or, more simply, drag and drop method.

How to synchronize:

DragonDisk allows synchronizing the content of two different folders to ensure that the content contained in those two items is similar.

To perform this feature, follow the instructions below:

Step 1 : Access the menu Synchronization => Manage Sync Jobs .

Step 2 : In the dialog box that appears, click the Add button to perform a new sync operation.

Step 3 : A new folder will appear, choose a name to distinguish sync operations, access the source and destination folders.

Step 4 : After adding the sync operation, users can manage this operation such as editing, deleting or adding new operations.

Step 5 : Once added, a new heading will display in the Synchronization list. This synchronization will not automatically take place, instead, users must activate it manually every time they want to use.

Note: By default, the destination folder will be identical to the source directory, so any difference factors will be deleted without warning.
